When you use the device, your tongue is held slightly forward as it is connected to your jaw. This helps keep your upper airway open, increasing the clearance between the back of your tongue and the back of your throat. The lack of free space in this area is the origin of much of snoring.
How to apply NoRonques?
It is recommended in a container put hot water (70-80 degrees).
Insert the small holding spatula into the opening on the front of the splint, making sure that it is inserted all the way and that you can feel it on the other side of the splint.
Holding the splint with the spatula, immerse it in the bowl of hot water for 1 minute until it becomes soft.
After a minute, remove the splint and gently shake it to remove excess water. Take care that the edges do not bend and insert the splint into your mouth ensuring its correct position and that the upper and lower teeth fit well in the splint grooves.
Move the lower jaw back and forth until you find an advanced midpoint with the lower jaw clearly advanced from its normal position.
You should then bite down firmly on the splint while sucking in the remaining air until you get a hollow sensation in your mouth. With your fingers, press on the splint on the outside by the cheek area and with your tongue, on the inside, press towards the back of your teeth to adjust your jaw print as best you can.
Remove the NoRonques splint from your mouth and immerse it in another container of cold water for 1 minute.
Remove the holding spatula and try it in your mouth again. It should feel snug and comfortable, if not, you can repeat the process up to 3 times.
