Description
Quinoa in Grain of Intracma is a pseudo cereal belonging to the Chenopodioideae subfamily of amaranths. It is mainly cultivated in the Andes mountain range. The main producing countries are Bolivia and Peru. It contains many more proteins and fats, although the latter are mostly unsaturated, highlighting the presence of omega 6 and omega 3 acids. Regarding caloric intake, quinoa is similar or slightly superior to a cereal, since it contains less carbohydrates .
Indication
It has a high contribution of fiber, since it can reach 15 grams per 100 grams, being mostly insoluble type fiber as the seeds characteristically possess. If we refer to the micro nutrients, in quinoa the content of potassium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, iron and zinc stands out among the minerals, while it also offers B vitamins in appreciable amounts and vitamin E with antioxidant function.
