Garlic is a vegetable of the amaryllidaceae family. The active part of this herb are the bulbs, a source of sulfur amino acids (protein substances that contain sulfur as an antioxidant mineral), among which alliin stands out, although the active molecule is allicin. Traditionally, garlic has been used as a lipid-lowering agent, since it reduces fatty acids in the blood to combat lipoproteins and triglycerides.

Precautions
