Soft drinks are refreshing drinks, as their name suggests, non-alcoholic and made mainly with water. Other components are added to these to give them flavor and/or gasify them, such as; sugar or sweeteners, juices, caffeine, theine, artificial flavors, colorings, carbon dioxide, mineral salts, vitamins, etc.

Refreshing drinks or soft drinks were incorporated into the Spanish market almost 180 years ago in the form of a siphon. They were made and sold in pharmacies, since in those times they were used to help with some conditions or discomforts.

These drinks evolved in ingredients, creating different varieties, now without health purposes, which led to them being marketed in a more social environment than their first version.

Types of soft drinks

Currently on the market we have a wide variety of soft drinks, for all tastes and needs.

-Bio or ecological soft drinks.

We can also classify them by whether they contain gas or not and by the packaging, which is mostly in a glass or plastic bottle, small bottle or can.

Healthy soft drinks

In general, soft drinks are made up of empty ingredients, which do not have a great positive contribution to our diet, although this is changing.

We new generations are more concerned about including in our diet foods and drinks that provide benefits to our body and eliminating what can harm us. So... Should we stop drinking soft drinks? Of course not!
