Properties of the components of the formula:

Urea: (5%). Urea is a component of the epidermis and is part of the Natural Moisturizing Factor. When the amount of urea in the epidermis decreases, the stratum corneum loses its ability to retain water and moisten the skin with the consequent appearance of roughness, tightness and flaking. As has already been pointed out, Urea has the ability to transform the hard horny layer into a soft and flexible one, by increasing its water content and dispersing the epidermal keratin. It has a high keratolytic and emollient power, which is why it is used in creams intended to treat various skin problems.

Paraffinum liquidum and Propylene glycol: both highly emollient substances.

Silicone oil: allows the skin to be isolated from moisture, reducing skin abrasions caused by maceration, as can be the case of babies in diapers and people in bed.

• Protects the skin.
• It offers a sensation of lubricity that, in synergy with that of talc, makes the product useful for people with prostheses.
• Permeability to perspiration, which makes this substance ideal for the use of products that will produce a decrease in the sweating effect due to the "drying" effect but never due to the occlusion effect since it is permeable.
• Advantageous organoleptic and physicochemical properties of silicones: tasteless, odorless, inert, non-oxidizable. Which means that they will not alter the characteristics of the product to which they are incorporated.
