How to apply brown henna?

Take between 50 – 200g of brown henna, depending on the length of the hair. In a large bowl, mix the henna with hot water (about 60°C) little by little until the mixture has the consistency of yogurt.

Apply it immediately to clean, dry and well-detangled hair, from the root to the tip of the hair, and wait between 60 – 90 minutes (depending on the desired color intensity) before washing it off with just water.

If you have a lot of gray hair, we recommend using the double process, that is:

Step 1: Apply pure henna (mixed with water) on clean hair for 30-45 minutes.

Step 2: Wash hair with a mild shampoo. (You will be left with a red/orange color but don't worry as in the next step we are going to convert the red/orange color to a dark brown color).

Step 3: Apply the brown henna (mixed with water) on the hair (you can apply it to wet hair or dry it first) and leave it on for 60-90 minutes.

Step 4: Wash hair with water only and wait 24 hours to shampoo.

Lastly, if you want to have a light brown color, you can mix this Brown Henna with Cassia Obovata.
