Description
Imperial gyokuro green tea from Biotona is the most precious and refined green tea from Japan, with a fruity note but with a powerful "umami" flavor thanks to the presence of theanine. It is produced exclusively from young tea leaves which, according to tradition, are harvested by hand in early May (at the first harvest) after shading the bushes for 3-4 weeks.
Intake mode
It is recommended to let it infuse in hot water (slightly mineralized) and take its temperature into account. The higher it is, the greater the bitterness. For the best taste experience, infuse a second time (and even a third time).
During the first infusion, the rolled leaves slowly open and give off their primary flavors.
During the second infusion, when they are already open, you will discover the richness of a range of secondary flavors.
To do this, simply re-infuse the decanted leaves in the same amount of water, at roughly the same temperature, and for the same or slightly shorter duration, depending on your preference.
Storage conditions
Store in a cool, dry place and protected from light.
