Description
Santiveri Digestive Cacao Cookies, without added sugar and without lactose. To achieve a healthy product with all its flavor, the Digestive Cookies with Cocoa have been sweetened with maltitol.
Indication
Maltitol is a polyol derived from sucrose that has a number of advantages over this sugar: it has a similar sweetening power, it provides fewer calories. Thus, we can include these cookies in the diet of people with hyperglycemia and of all those who wish to restrict their consumption of sugar (weight control diets). They contain sugars naturally present in its ingredients. The composition in vegetable fats have a dietetically balanced lipid profile, suitable for a healthy and balanced diet, with an oleic acid content of 7.7%, a type of monounsaturated fat characteristic of the Mediterranean diet.
Cocoa is the fruit of the tree of the Esterculiáceas family, Theobroma cacao. Its richness in vitamins and minerals stands out: 100 grams of cocoa contain about 1000 mg of potassium, 650 g of phosphorus, 400 mg of magnesium, 100 mg of calcium and significant amounts of other minerals such as iron and sodium. It also has vitamins B1, B2, niacin and vitamin E. Due to its fat content of vegetable origin, it has a high percentage of polyunsaturated fatty acids. It contains a substance with a slightly stimulating effect, theobromine, an alkaloid similar to caffeine that is found in amounts of approximately 1.5%. It differs from caffeine in that it is more diuretic and less exciting. Although some varieties of cocoa also contain caffeine. Chocolate provides, unlike other stimulating foods, a good amount of energy and nutrients. Because the digestion of fats is slow, the contribution of energy to the body is carried out gradually. These cookies have been made with wholemeal flour and supplemental with folic acid, a vitamin that is in greater demand in pregnancy, lactation, growth and the elderly.
