The flexible lid for Weck jars allows you to use these jars to store and preserve food. Replaces the glass lid with rubber ring and staples or the silicone lid. The white lid fits perfectly on the jar, it does not fall off, although it is not completely airtight: if the jar contains liquid and is turned upside down, a drop may escape. This lid is very useful for storing any food or keeping it in the fridge once the jars have been opened, for storing legumes, rice or seeds in the pantry, for keeping smoothies or juices in the fridge and it is very useful when it comes to freezing food. To make preserves we must use the glass lid with the ring and the staples. Recommendations for freezing food: it is convenient to leave free space to avoid breakage when food expands during freezing and to avoid sudden changes in temperature (if you want to freeze hot food, let it cool beforehand). It is a polypropylene (PP) lid and free of BPA and phthalates.
