L. acidophilus is a well-researched, robust probiotic that is highly resistant to gastric acid, bile salts, and digestive enzymes.

Properties and benefits of Lactobacillus acidophilus

Possessing more than 20 peptidases, it easily breaks down casein, polypeptides derived from casein, and gluten. L. acidophilus ferments lactose and a variety of other sugars and polysaccharides that aid digestion and lower the pH of intestinal contents. B. bifidum is normally present in large numbers. Their populations are reduced or absent in some infants and older adults. B. bifidum suppresses antigen-specific and total IgE production and enhances IgM and IgG responses to select environmental agents. B. bifidum enhances the phagocytic activity of leukocytes. It can activate B cells making them more sensitive to IgA secretion.

How to take Lactobacillus acidophilus?

It is recommended to take 1 capsule daily with food or as directed by a healthcare professional.
