Description
Propos Nature evening primrose vegetable oil, originally from North America, was used for its many medicinal properties externally and as an infusion. According to its Greek etymology oinos (wine) and thĂŞr (wild animals), it was given the power to domesticate wild animals by soaking its root in wine.
Properties and benefits of Primrose vegetable oil
The flowers, present today in most temperate regions, are part of the Onagraceaes family and were brought by European botanists in 1614. They appear as yellow flowers at the end of a long stem of about one meter and open in just a few minutes after of dusk. When ripe, they contain several hundred black seeds (especially Oenothera biennis L and Oenothera erythrosepala Borb.) which are cold pressed and then filtered to extract the oil.
