Description
Terrasana koshin shiitake is a dried mushroom with a thin, open cap. It brings the umami flavors of a dish to the fore. Delicious in a miso soup, meat or vegetable dish.
Indication
Mushrooms can grow in abundance in Japan, thanks to the humid climate and many mountains. There are countless varieties in the country, but shiitake is the most widely known and used species in Japan. Delicious as a base for a miso soup or to give your meat or vegetable dish an umami flavor.
Intake mode
It is recommended to soak in cold water for at least 30 minutes. Slice and cook for 2 minutes or cook with soups and stews. For dashi use 2 shiitakes, 1 kombu strip and 1 liter of water. Let this soak in the refrigerator for 4-20 hours. You can use the drained liquid in the soup.
Storage conditions
Store in a cool, dry place. After opening, store tightly in a dry, dark place at room temperature (max. 20 °C).
