Description

Like a giant oak leaf, it grows on the Galician coast and can measure 1.5 m.

Indication

Rich in calcium, iodine, protein and fiber, it is one of the most appropriate to eat raw in salads, and to start cooking with seaweed, due to its great versatility: in soups, rice, with other vegetables, baked, simply boiled., in empanada fillings, etc.

Intake mode

Raw: Chop and soak for 15 minutes, clean if there are shell remains and add to the salad.

Cooked: Boil 20 minutes with soup, vegetables, potatoes, rice, oatmeal, millet, polenta, semolina, etc.

Also Sofrita: with onion for pasta, empanadas, pizzas, quiches, etc.

Steamed: Delicious as an accompaniment to vegetables. Wild Atlantic seaweed from deep waters and a fine flavor. Rich in highly digestible proteins, mineral salts (exceptional contribution of calcium), magnesium, phosphorus, iodine and fiber.

100 g = accompaniment for 20 servings

Storage conditions

Keep refrigerated between 0 and 6ºC. Once opened consume within 48 hours.
