Description
100% Pure natural BIO Cocoa in defatted powder (10-12% fat) from Organic Farming and Fair Trade.
Indication
This cocoa has been alkalized, which is a process that neutralizes the acids in natural cocoa powder and, at the same time, reduces its bitterness by one point. This process is also known as “Dutch” or Dutch process, since it was a Dutch chocolatier who was responsible for its invention.
This intensifies the color of the cocoa, its flavor and reduces its acidity, also making it more soluble (to dissolve it easily in liquids). Cocoa was already cultivated by the Mayans more than 2,500 years ago.
Cacao comes from the Mayan language: - cac, which means red (in reference to the color of the fruit's shell), and cau, which expresses the ideas of strength and fire.
Cocoa is excellent against sadness, anxiety and irritability, because it contains theobromine, caffeine and theophylline that stimulate various physiological actions including that of the nervous system and blood circulation.
Studies carried out by international institutions have highlighted that cocoa has beneficial qualities for health. It has antioxidant qualities that help regulate the expansion and contraction movements of the heart, which is why it plays a role in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
Its consumption could even reduce the risks of some cancers.
Cocoa is also an important source of energy.
Organic cocoa production represents a very weak part of world cocoa production, which does not reach 1%. However, the demand for products made with organic cocoa is rising very quickly, as people's concerns about the food safety of the products they consume become increasingly important.
Organic cocoa is more expensive than normal cocoa, which allows producers to cover high production costs and pay for certification.
Intake mode
Mix 1-3 teaspoons of cocoa powder with a little milk and heat for 2-3 minutes. Add the rest of the milk and sugar to your taste.
This cocoa powder is ideal for making delicious desserts or old-fashioned hot chocolate.
