Description
Cinnamon is obtained from the brown papery bark of the tropical cinnamon tree. The cinnamon is extracted by peeling and rubbing the smaller branches. The rinds are rolled into long bars and left to ferment for 24 hours. The rough outer layer is separated from the inner layer, which is rolled up and allowed to dry, acquiring its characteristic color.
Indication
The daily consumption of cinnamon is surprisingly beneficial for the body and it is very easy to incorporate it into the diet, for example, by sprinkling a light amount on coffee.
Cinnamon has essential oils, magnesium, zinc flavonoids and iodine. These substances promote blood circulation and make it an effective anticoagulant. It also helps prevent excessive accumulation of platelets in the blood and keeps the arteries clean, thus helping to avoid coronary problems.
