Longlife NAC is a food supplement of N-acetyl L-cysteine source of the amino acid sulfide L-cysteine and precursor of glutathione.
Properties and benefits of NAC
N-acetyl L-cysteine (NAC) is a release form of L-cysteine, a non-essential sulphur-containing amino acid, compared to which it is more stable and more bioavailable.
NAC is able to increase the plasma levels of a primary antioxidant, glutathione, an important enzymatic cofactor that is highly protective against oxidation processes.
Since the 1960s it has been marketed as a drug and used for the treatment of respiratory tract diseases (especially acute and chronic bronchitis), associated with overproduction of mucus or viscous mucus.
How to take NAC?
It is recommended to take 1 capsule a day with water during the meal.
Composition of NAC
For 1 capsule:
NAC (N-acetyl L-cysteine) 600 mg.
Other ingredients: anti-caking agent (vegetable magnesium stearate), capsule of vegetable origin in hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.
