Description

OPC cell protection from GSE is a food supplement with OPC from grape seeds and vitamin C from acerola cherries.

Oligomeric proanthocyanidins, also called oligomeric procyanidins and abbreviated as OPC, are substances found naturally in plants. They belong to the group of flavonoids and are attributed a strong antioxidant effect. OPCs are mainly found in grape seeds, the skin and foliage of red grapes, the red membranes of peanuts, coconuts, apples and the bark of maritime pine.

The acidic fruits of acerola (Malpighia glabra) are among the fruits with one of the highest contents of vitamin C, also called ascorbic acid. Found mainly in fresh fruits and vegetables, it is involved in many metabolic processes and protects cells from aggressive oxygen compounds (free radicals). Vitamin C also plays an important role in the formation of collagen, the most common protein in the human body and an important part of our connective tissue.
