It also assists in the normal functioning of neurotransmission of digestive enzymes and muscles.
Calcium contributes to reducing bone demineralization in postmenopausal women. Low bone mineral density is a risk factor for osteoporotic bone fractures. This benefit is achieved with a daily dose of at least 1200 mg in women 50 years of age and older.
