A perennial herbaceous plant in the Scrophulariaceae family, the lion's mouth is native to the Mediterranean basin. It owes its name to its unique shape, since when you pinch the sides of the flower it opens like a mouth, but without a cry. The yellow flowers appear from spring to fall.
